Umbrella Alley is the newest art attraction in downtown Louisville, Ohio! In partnership with citizens, local businesses, the City of Louisville and ArtsinStark, a long-held dream has become a reality. As part of the process of rejuvenating our city’s downtown and creating an artistic and welcoming location, nearly 200 umbrellas were installed in the heart of our city. Umbrella Alley has become a destination spot and is already bringing people downtown as well as bringing people together from all over the Tri-State area. Chairs and benches line the alley so patrons can enjoy “to-go” lunches from any one of our amazing local restaurants, or they can simply enjoy gathering with loved ones. Our lead artist, renown Jeffrey Keirn, motivates the team with his artwork as he brings his inspiration and vision to Umbrella Alley to fill the brick alley walls. In fact, the artwork and the umbrellas may change at any time thus the fun of returning several times a year!

Umbrella Alley Chalk Event featuring local artist, Iris Menegay, and the Ohio Chalk Art Guild will happen over the July 4th weekend. Come out and watch these superior artists chalk the walls all weekend!

Umbrella Alley and Louisville will be alive with a couple of food vendors and our restaurants and shops will be open for you to enjoy! The event is FREE TO THE PUBLIC,and The Umbrella Alley Team hopes you will support them by purchasing a t-shirt, umbrella, greeting cards or one of the many other things available that they will be selling. We sell the t-shirts to maintain our umbrellas, and they will be available July 4th weekend in the Alley as well as at the Ahh Gallery and Beatty's Sports. We have many new styles this year - so come on out, watch the artists chalk, eat great food and take advantage of Louisville's DORA! (DORA is a specifically designated area that allows patrons over the age of 21 to purchase alcoholic beverages from a permitted establishment and carry them within a clearly defined area within the City.
